Starting therapy can feel like a big step. It is entirely normal to feel a mix of curiosity, hope and nerves. Knowing what to expect can help ease some of that uncertainty.

In your first session, your therapist’s aim is to get to know you. Together, you will explore what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. This will be a gentle, collaborative conversation. There is no pressure to share everything at once; your therapist will work with you at your own pace.

Your therapist will also explain how the sessions work, discuss confidentiality, and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Many people find that having someone listen without judgment provides immediate relief. Over time, therapy can help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings, learn new ways to cope and make positive changes that feel right for you.

We know that it takes courage to begin, and if you're considering taking that step, we're here to support you every step of the way.

Below you will find pictures of our therapy rooms. We hope that it helps you feel more comfortable and gives you a sense of the space you will be coming into.
